Strong focus on special program accompanying the fairs

W  hoever is looking for problem solutions and the latest technologies in the bulk solids branch or recycling technology will find a platform at the trade fairs SOLIDS and RECYCLING-TECHNIK 2014 to gather information about trends, potential partners and attractive offers. For the first time the “1st German Conference on Fire and Explosion Protection 2014” will take place within the framework of both fairs.

AT Mineral Processing spoke to Daniel Eisele, Event Director of easyFairs, about the special features of the fairs in 2014, the focal points of the exhibition as well as the additional program.

AT Mineral Processing: For the second time the RECYCLING-TECHNIK will take place together with the SOLIDS Dortmund. What are the highlights that visitors to both fairs can expect in May 2014?

Eisele: To put it in a nutshell, there will be an extended offer with a strong focus on the special program accompanying the fairs. For the first time with 400 exhibitors in three halls, the two fairs will offer four open lecture stages and a high-calibre trade conference. The expert visitors will have the opportunity to contact potential business partners in new networking areas, such as the business bar, three coffee bars, the lounge and the country pavilions.

AT Mineral Processing: Has the concept to carry out SOLIDS and RECYCLING-TECHNIK together proved a success? What was the response of exhibitors and visitors?

Eisele: The première of the two fairs under one roof was successful: 100 companies presented their products, services and solutions in the field of recycling technology. More than ten percent of the expert visitors came to Dortmund during the two days with a specific interest in recycling technology. This was also a benefit for exhibitors at the SOLIDS Dortmund because many of their products can also be used for recycling. In other words, the concept has proved a success.

AT Mineral Processing: What will be the exhibition highlights that visitors can expect during both days of the fairs in May 2014?

Eisele: The core of the fair exhibition will be in the areas of bulk solids processing and treatment as in previous years. A new exhibition highlight will be bulk solids handling. The field of bulk solids storage will further gain in importance. For the first time “Innovations from Holland” will be presented at a Dutch joint stand. Two other joint stands, i.e. the “Recycling Park” and a Polish pavilion, are in the planning phase.

AT Mineral Processing: Have additional services and further highlights been planned for visitors?

Eisele: A very special service highlight for visitors will be the visitor app, both in the run-up to the fair and at the location. The visitors will have the opportunity to store interesting exhibitor profiles in a personal login field and to plan their personal lecture program. The paperless collection of product information will be made possible by the app at the fair due to easy scanning of QR codes. Thus, the visitor will have all the important information available on his mobile phone.

Further highlights have also been planned, such as visitor parcours as well as guided tours, during which interested expert visitors will be offered individual product presentations at selected stands covering certain selected topics.
