Strong focus on special program accompanying the fairs
AT Mineral Processing spoke to Daniel Eisele, Event Director of easyFairs, about the special features of the fairs in 2014, the focal points of the exhibition as well as the additional program.
Eisele: To put it in a nutshell, there will be an extended offer with a strong focus on the special program accompanying the fairs. For the first time with 400 exhibitors in three halls, the two fairs will offer four open lecture stages and a high-calibre trade conference. The expert visitors will have the opportunity to contact potential business partners in new networking areas, such as the business bar, three coffee bars, the lounge and the country pavilions.
Eisele: The première of the two fairs under one roof was successful: 100 companies presented their products, services and solutions in the field of recycling technology. More than ten percent of the expert visitors came to Dortmund during the two days with a specific interest in recycling technology. This was also a benefit for exhibitors at the SOLIDS Dortmund because many of their products can also be used for recycling. In other words, the concept has proved a success.
Eisele: The core of the fair exhibition will be in the areas of bulk solids processing and treatment as in previous years. A new exhibition highlight will be bulk solids handling. The field of bulk solids storage will further gain in importance. For the first time “Innovations from Holland” will be presented at a Dutch joint stand. Two other joint stands, i.e. the “Recycling Park” and a Polish pavilion, are in the planning phase.
Eisele: A very special service highlight for visitors will be the visitor app, both in the run-up to the fair and at the location. The visitors will have the opportunity to store interesting exhibitor profiles in a personal login field and to plan their personal lecture program. The paperless collection of product information will be made possible by the app at the fair due to easy scanning of QR codes. Thus, the visitor will have all the important information available on his mobile phone.
Further highlights have also been planned, such as visitor parcours as well as guided tours, during which interested expert visitors will be offered individual product presentations at selected stands covering certain selected topics.
