Current state of knowledge in workshop format

ForumMiro, the leading event of the German rock industry, takes place every three years at changing venues. This time the Federal Association of Mineral Raw Materials (MIRO) as organizer and body responsible for the event issues an invitation to the Estrel Hotel and Convention Center in Berlin. The participants at the industry meeting will benefit from a mix of topics, which will be both exciting and informative. This mix will combine variety and substance due to a lively workshop concept.

Already the communicative meeting during the trade exhibition on the opening evening will have political features due to the participants invited from various federal ministries, which is appropriate to the atmosphere of the capital. After the opening ceremony, Matthias Machnig, Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, and Heinz Buschkowsky as former District Mayor of Berlin-Neukölln will continue the program during the opening with words of welcome and an introductory speech.

The focus of the eight workshops in total will be on comprehensive information in connection with the practical value for entrepreneurs as well as responsible technical and commercial staff members in the companies of the German rock and building materials industry. This actually refers to the relevant sector topics of backfilling, the effects of new or amended regulations on companies requiring, if necessary, to retrofit existing facilities, problems arising during the purchase of land, technical innovations, possibilities and limits of the resource efficiency and biodiversity, issues of raw material securing and approvals as well as other time-related topics of the industry.

As always, the forum will be accompanied by an extensive trade exhibition where the participants will find additional information for their special ideas regarding capital expenditure. Furthermore, the event will be a worthy setting for the honouring of special achievements. As in previous years, the best-placed participants in the MIRO competition concerning occupational safety will receive their awards and certificates in front of a large audience.

According to the present state of registration, the organizers expect about 500 participants and about 50 exhibitors as at the previous event. The complete program is available for download on the Internet page of the organizer Geoplan GmbH ($(LEhttp://) und and on that of MIRO ($(LEhttp://).
