Weir Minerals announce the complete integration of Delta Industrial™ valves manufacturing operations to its state-of-the-art facility in St. Louis/Missouri. The integration delivers significant benefits to mining operators across the globe purchasing Delta™ Industrial valves. Before the integration, the St. Louis facility solely manufactured Lewis® pumps and valves, one of the industry leaders in sulphuric acid industries, for more than 126 years. The strategic decision was made to relocate the manufacturing of Delta Industrial™ valves to help accelerate the growth of both brands, increase production and streamline processes to ensure all valves are manufactured to the highest of standards.

Managing Director of the St. Louis facility, Grant Ramsden, says: “We’ve optimised the supply chain by increasing shifts to three per day and hired more staff to ensure we could create our products in a timely manner. In addition, we addressed supplier constraints, expanded our manufacturing space by 464.5 m², and increased our warehouse space by 1393.5 m².” Along with expanding manufacturing operations, Weir Minerals added a team of 24 valve specialists around the globe. Customers worldwide can be confident the St. Louis facility is equipped to deliver the advanced, zero leak Delta Industrial™ knife gate valves the market has come to know and respect.
