Paris is always worth a journey - and especially in springtime! From April 23rd to 28th, the INTERMAT, an international exhibition for construction and infrastructure, will open its doors in the French capital. There, about 1500 exhibitors will present their products, plants and machinery. You will find a foretaste of new developments in the field of motors, wheel loaders, cranes, crushers and processing plants in this issue.
What do re-used bricks and roof tiles have to do with tennis courts? The Perfect Tennismehl & Sportgeräte GmbH from Nettetal, a subsidiary of the Dutch recycling company Thijssen Emans & Co B.V. processes, amongst others, these demolition materials and thus provides the starting material for the production of floor coverings for outdoor tennis courts.
When processing mineral raw materials, such as stones and earths, gravel and sand or ores, adherent impurities and their reduction or removal play a decisive role. The article “Cleaning process – Study and assessment of the stress parameters applied in the ‘HAVER Hydro-Clean’ high-pressure cleaning system” discusses the cleaning-relevant parameters with the aim of improving material quality and reducing the operating costs.
The processing of sand of a completely different nature is described in the article “Moulding Sand". At the Çorlu site in Turkey, a new foundry is being established. Core of the investment is a greensand moulding plant, where the processing and mixing of the moulding materials is of particular importance.
