Superlative
Dear Readers
After three years of waiting, it’s that time again: bauma 2013 is opening its gates in Munich from 15 to 21 April, and all ready to live up to its reputation for the superlative. On the now even bigger exhibition area of 570 000 m2, leading companies are presenting their latest products and new developments from segments centring around the construction site and building materials production, mining, raw materials extraction and processing. The focus is on optimization in respect of product quality, performance, service, repair and maintenance concepts, costs, work safety as well as ecological benefit and sustainability.
Please use our enclosed trade fair guide to lead you around the exhibition, and find out in advance about the highlights for mineral processing in our bauma Special from page 5 on. For instance, Derrick Corporation is showcasing its high-performance screens at bauma 2013. You can find details on improved grinding efficiency based on case studies in this issue on page 96.
Another feature well worth reading in this issue is our interview with the sales director of WEG Germany, Andreas Schulte Mesum, on page 84. The electric motors from this Brazilian company stand for energy efficiency and cost saving.
We wish you lots of fruitful talks and contacts at bauma 2013
