Derrick® HYPERPOOL® Technology
Derrick® Corporation is a family-owned and operated company with a global presence focused on pioneering separation technology. Derrick’s solutions are currently used worldwide by companies to solve some of the most challenging mechanical separation needs of the mining, underground construction, and aggregates industries. Derrick will be exhibiting at bauma 2016. In addition to the patented Stack Sizer® wet sizing machine, Derrick will have on display the newly developed HYPERPOOL® linear motion screening machine.
Backed by over 60 years of cost-effective solutions, the Derrick HYPERPOOL® is the latest in a long line of products designed expressly to exceed the demanding needs of today’s mineral processing and microtunneling operations. The Hyperpool is powered by two Super G® vibratory motors which offer high G performance. Each Super G motor has greased-for-life bearings and requires zero maintenance. In addition to the extremely low sound production (74 ± 4 dBA), the Hyperpool machine has a very low power requirement (2 x 1.7 kW). The HYPERPOOL® offers up to 35 % increased capacity over competitive equipment within the same footprint. Fluid centering technology maximizes fluid throughput by causing fluid to pool in the center of the concave screen bed for maximum screening effect. Derrick’s proprietary screen panel compression technology, combined with the nitrile rubber bed cushions provides optimum sealing that eliminates solids bypass. The convenient single-side screen compression system permits a single operator to change screens in less than 45 seconds. Also the lightweight, 18 pound (8 kg), Pyramid® screen panels (as fine as 40 µm) reduce handling effort and make for easy installation. With its very low dynamic load, compact footprint, industry-leading processing capacity, and low maintenance cost, the HYPERPOOL® is well suited for high volumetric flows when required, and can dramatically reduce operating costs by providing high-efficiency separation and dewatering. Derrick will also be exhibiting at Powtech 2016 in Nuremberg (Hall 4, Booth 241).
