Biggest International Powder and Bulk Solids Community 2015: SOLIDS European Series
With trade shows in Antwerp, Basel, St. Petersburg, Rotterdam, Kraków and Dortmund, the SOLIDS European Series 2015 is inviting everyone to join the world’s biggest bulk solids network (Fig. 1). The range of exhibits of the six business and innovation platforms covers the entire value-added chain of process engineering of the powder and bulk solids technologies (Fig. 2) – from machinery and processes for goods receipt, handling (crushing, grinding, mixing, cutting) and processing (screening, filtering, agglomerating, dosing, weighing) to in-house mechanical and pneumatic conveying up to the processes of filling, packaging, storage and external transport to the place of destination. Planners and decision-makers find solutions for individual process stages and the linking of the individual steps (Fig. 3). Moreover, the focus of the exhibition is on essential cross-divisional functions: among them, industrial fire and explosion protection, recycling technology and hygienic design.
Three out of these six events will be carried out by Germany next year: “The possibility to organize three shows with one team provides a considerable added value for exhibitors and trade visitors,” says Daniel Eisele, Event Director at easyFairs Deutschland GmbH. “A close contact network and profound industry know-how enable us to perfectly meet the needs of exhibitors and trade visitors on foreign markets. We thus enhance the position of the fairs on the market.”
Trade shows indicate clear signs for growth in 2015
Springtime starts with the SOLIDS Basel 2015 on 6th and 7th May, 2015 on the premises of the Messe Basel. It will already be the fourth time that decision makers meet providers of the entire spectrum of powder and bulk solids technologies. “In the years to come, we will clearly focus on the professional exchange with experts. An exclusive congress held parallel to the fair as well as two open arenas for lectures on bulk solids and recycling technologies provide competence transfer and possibilities for discussions. The technical program completes the high-quality exhibition offer”, says Sandrina Josephs, Marketing Project Manager of the fair at easyFairs. “In addition, a Superior Lounge and a country pavilion invite everybody to establish initial business contacts in a professional atmosphere.”
On 27th and 28th May, 2015, SOLIDS Russia will take place in St. Petersburg for the first time ever, and with a new event format. “With a high-quality conference and trade show it is our goal to provide international exhibitors a platform which enables them to tap into the investment potential of the Russian market”, says Maria Soloveva, Project Manager of SOLIDS Russia at easyFairs.
“As an important center for bulk solids-processing industries in Russia and the biggest trade hub between East and West, St. Petersburg offers the best conditions for the fair.” Support for the expansion of the series towards St. Petersburg has also been expressed by the exhibitors: “For a long time, we have been successfully participating in several bulk solids fairs in Europe and we very much appreciate these trade events. We are glad that the series is going to expand towards Russia”, says Stefan Penno, Managing Director at REMBE® GMBH SAFETY + CONTROL. “Russia is an interesting market for us and we will also be on board at SOLIDS Russia 2015 in St. Petersburg.”
About 260 exhibitors have already booked their exhibition spaces 15 month before the 7th edition of the SOLIDS Dortmund on 4th and 5th November, 2015. “The good booking behavior reflects the importance the fair has for the market. The SOLIDS Dortmund has become a fixed date in the calendar of exhibitors and trade visitors”, says Daniel Eisele. “It is particularly encouraging that we have been able to acquire some new exhibitors already at this point in time. Among them, the companies Hosokawa Alpine, who first participated as co-exhibitors in 2014, SEW-Eurodrive who, as first-time exhibitors in 2015, could be won as premium partners, and MAHLE International GmbH, who experienced the SOLIDS 2014 as visitors and will now be one of the exhibitors in 2015.”
