SAMOTER 2011, Verona/Italy (02.– 06.03.2011)
New and interesting initiatives are on the agenda at the 28th Samoter – Salone Internazionale Triennale delle Macchine Movimento Terra, da Cantiere e per l’Edilizia – the international trade fair for earth moving, site and construction machinery and equipment that takes places every three years (www.samoter.com). In 2008 the fair was really successful and recorded the best result as regards the number of exhibitors and visitors since its establishment.
Sustainability is the key word and leitmotif of the Samoter 2011. As the place for an exchange of knowledge, further training and for consolidation of the thematic, the aim of the fair is to highlight various aspects as regards the value chain in construction engineering: safety and circumspection in the building process, the relationship between environment and economy, technical standards, products, instruments and innovation, ethics and project planning. Sustainability will also be the focus of the opening conference. The topic will be: Project planning and sustainable construction – trends and best practices. Experts from at home and abroad will compare the North American and the European market during two round-table discussions.
There will be SAMOTER SPECIALS also in 2011: product-specific exhibitions as regards earth moving, concrete, road construction, drilling, crushing, lifting, vehicles, components, rental. Each section will be marked graphically by a symbol and a colour so that it will be easy for the visitors to find the way in which their interest lies. On some days the exhibitions will be complemented by specific, dynamic events, seminars and conferences. Seminars will be given on standards, environmental topics and technical innovations within the section ‘raw material extraction and crushing’ together with Anepla (the association of the Italian rock industry). Further support will be given by the publishing house Edizione Pei as media partner of the events.
