The preparations have started
steinexpo 2011, Homberg-Niederofleiden/Germany
(31.08. – 03.09.2011)

Recently the organizers already started the preparations
for steinexpo 2011. In the meantime, this is the 8th demonstration fair for the construction and building material industries, which will again take place at Homberg/Niederofleiden near Marburg from 31.08.– 03.09.2011. Thus, the largest basalt quarry in Europe will again become the meeting place for the construction industry (Fig.). With an expected net exhibition space of approx. 50 000 m², steinexpo 2011 will be the ideal platform for manufacturers, bidders and suppliers to present their products, services and innovations in step with actual practice for raw material extraction and processing, refinement and building materials reprocessing. The large halls, which are an important part of the steinexpo in addition to the open-air ground for demonstrations, are the central point of the entire fair due to their location on the main area.

As with the last fair, the German Machinery and Plant Construction Association (VDMA) will again be the professional and ideal partner of steinexpo 2011. The German Federal Association of Mineral Raw Materials (MIRO) will again be very involved in the concept, publication and realization of the demonstration fair. The same applies to
the German Association of Building Machinery Engineers and Masters (VDBUM). The European commitment to steinexpo is supported by the partnership with the
European Aggregates Association (UEPG) that represents about 32 000 companies. Media partnerships with nationally and internationally leading journals round off the
picture.

Due to the spatial changes in the Niederofleiden quarry – it is a producing company – the “face” of the exhibition site will change significantly next year. The planned modifications again promise impressive and practically orientated exhibitor presentations that will make this “special” exhibition site even more attractive.

The exhibition documents are available from now on at Geoplan GmbH, Iffezheim (D), Tel.: +49 7229 606-30,
