SAMOTER VERONA 2014
Thanks to the Public-Private Partnership, the ecological construction industry in Italy is reporting good results. Unioncamere (Union of the Italian Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture) has worked together with CRESME (Centre for Economic, Sociological and Market Research) to publish a report on the mid-term prospects (2013-2017) of the Italian construction market with the following findings: Between 2012 and 2013, the projects realized by the Public-Private Partnership in accordance with ecological construction methods have increased by 30 % and have generated sales of € 2.1 bill. Although the general financial situation in Italy has led to difficult credit access and to a cut in the government expenditure, in 2014 investments of around € 4500 mill. in building structures with a low environmental impact are expected. Unioncamere and CRESME expect that the ecological building turnaround between 2014 and 2016 will create a total of 658 000 new jobs.
The companies in the construction industry that want to profit from this favourable situation in Italy and would like to present their products at an appropriate platform, should consider taking part at Italy’s biggest construction machinery trade fair SaMoTer (International Earth-Moving and Building Machinery Exhibition, 8 to 11 May 2014, Verona, www.samoter.it. The Italian Chamber of Commerce for Germany Regd. is the official representative for the Verona Trade Fair Organization and is on hand for interested companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland for information on the trade fair.
