GKD at ACHEMA 2024
06.06.2024At ACHEMA 2024 in Frankfurt, one of the leading international trade fairs for the process industry, GKD – Gebr. Kufferath AG will be presenting its latest product innovations for metal mesh, plastic mesh and spiral mesh solutions. This year, GKD is focusing on cycle-oriented technologies for the production of clean energy and clean water. Highlights include advanced mesh solutions for hydrogen technologies such as electrolysers, Stirling engines and condensing boilers, as well as a patent-pending street filter to minimize the environmental impact of microplastics. GKD will also be presenting special process belts that ensure maximum safety and efficiency in drying technology.
One of the highlights of GKD's trade fair appearance is the presentation of a market-ready system for road gullies that filters microplastics caused by tire abrasion in a highly efficient manner

Peter Wirtz, Director Market Segment Industrial & Filtration at the GKD Group, emphasizes: "Our presence at ACHEMA is an excellent opportunity to present our latest developments to a global audience. We are proud to offer solutions that help our customers to further transform their industrial processes."
Green Energy: GKD supports hydrogen production, utilization, storage and transport processes. Examples include specialized technical mesh solutions for various production processes, including alkaline (AEL), PEM, AEM and high-temperature electrolysis (SOE). A highlight at the ACHEMA booth will be optimized meshes that have the potential to increase the efficiency of hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions and whose performance can be further optimized through coating technologies.

Industrial and municipal water management: In the face of increasing water stress, efficient water management is crucial for competitiveness in the process industry and municipal water management. Mesh from GKD is used in a wide variety of process stages and applications in water management: for filtering, screening, separating, drying, pressing and dewatering. One of the highlights of GKD's trade fair appearance is the presentation of a market-ready system for road gullies that filters microplastics caused by tire abrasion in a highly efficient manner.
Sewage and industrial sludge: Type 5099 PPS dryer belts from GKD are not new, but have proven themselves many times over. The fabric specialists are using the stage at ACHEMA to present robust and durable dryer belts that are used in sewage treatment plants, in the cement industry or in power plants to process sewage sludge into a CO2-neutral energy source (fuel).
