The Freiberg “Processing and Recycling” conference will again take place in the auditorium of the former FIA building at the current location of the Helmholtz Institute for Resource Technology (HIF – HZDR), at Chemnitzer Str. 40 in Freiberg on 7 to 8 November 2019. As in previous years, this year more than 130 experts from business and science are expected again. The conference is organized by the Gesellschaft für Verfahrenstechnik UVR-FIA e.V. Freiberg in cooperation with the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology and the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
Conference topics will be “Mineral Raw Materials – Recyclables from Waste“ with the focus on
• Machines, instruments und sensors
• Processing of primary raw materials
• Processing of secondary raw materials/recycling
For the first time, the "Heinrich Schubert Prize" will be awarded. The prize is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated their excellence in mechanical process engineering, mineral processing or recycling as part of a student thesis or doctorate. It can also honor volunteer work for the benefit of the department.
