In international demand
SBM Mineral Processing (SBM) is supplying impact crushers worth almost € 1 mill. to a bauxite mine in Western Australia. The background to this order was the supply of three impact crushers by SBM to the same customer around 25 years ago. The impact crushers supplied back then are still in operation today. Now the capacity of the mine has been increased and the locally based companies planning and realizing the processing plant are again trusting in SBM technology. Two impact crushers have been supplied for the tertiary crushing stages at the bauxite mine. Those are the stages before the material is refined for smelting in the aluminium as the finished product. The two machines are 13/21/4 RHSMK-5 impact crushers with hydraulically adjustable beaters and grinding track. Each of the crushers is designed to handle a material throughput rate of 1000 t/h, with a 1100 kW drive. The feed material of around 40–175 mm is crushed to 0–40 mm. The crushers will go into operation in the middle of 2010.
