Flottweg and IFAT Celebrate "Golden Anniversary"
IFAT can look back at a history of impressive development. The environmental expo started in 1966 and 2016 proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary. Flottweg, at the time basically a largish workshop, participated for the first time at the "Internationale Fachmesse für Abwassertechnik" (the International Trade Show for Wastewater Technology, whose initials in German are the origin of IFAT's name) in 1966. It was a partnership that has persisted to today.
Now, 50 years later, Flottweg has officially received an award at this year's IFAT from the Messe München for its loyalty.
The Flottweg booth itself was once again the destination of more than a few visitors this year. Visitors, customers, and employees from all over the world mixed in the 150 m² of space. Among other things, they came to be impressed by the latest generation of the Flottweg C series. The C2E decanter centrifuge was developed specifically for the dewatering and thickening of smaller sludge burdens. It offers all the usual Flottweg Know-how in a compact, space-saving design. It complements the product portfolio from Vilsbiburg on the lower end. Flottweg director Fritz Colesan was quite satisfied with the interest shown at IFAT 2016: "IFAT came at just the right time. After a slow start to the year, I was very happy to see 50 % more visitors than the last show two years ago – a reliable indicator that the second half of the year will catch up. Our exhibition concept with intensive advertising on all channels in advance was a complete sucess."
