With a focus on efficiency and innovation, Flottweg will be presenting its solutions for sludge dewatering and thickening as well as processing industrial wastewater and oil sludge recycling at IFAT. IFAT, the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, will take place at Messe München from May 13 to 17.

Efficient and powerful: the Xelletor
Sewage sludge dewatering offers enormous savings potential for sewage treatment plant operators: the lower the sludge volume, the lower the costs for transportation and disposal of the sewage sludge produced. However, polymer consumption, throughput and energy consumption also have an impact on the cost-effectiveness of the overall process. For this reason, Flottweg’s Xelletor series is a performance-efficient and process-optimized solution for sludge dewatering.
The sewage treatment plant as a complete system
But sludge dewatering is not the only important part of the wastewater treatment plant; sludge thickening is also important for the overall wastewater treatment plant system. Flottweg’s OSE decanters ensure optimum thickening of the excess sludge before it is subsequently digested in the digestion tower. An optimized process increases the gas yield and therefore reduces energy costs, which has a positive long-term effect on the efficiency of the wastewater treatment plant.
