The problems and causes of dust and spillage, particularly at the transitions points in bulk handling systems, are the focus of the technical article “Troughing in conveyor belt loading” from p. 70. As a solution, the technicians at Martin Engineering developed a patented concept based on a two-stage transition in order to achieve an effective trough transition in a short distance.
