dsb innocrush – top performance in France
An innocrush 50 impact mill was recently supplied by dsb Maschinenbau GmbH recently to an application that demanded absolute reliability and optimum performance. The challenge was 30 000 railway sleepers with extremely large iron components that had previously just been landfilled and now had to be crushed (Fig. 1). Together with the French sales partner Mint Equipment, the decision was taken to tackle this project.
The specification was to crush the starting material – pieces of concrete with a feed size of more than 600 mm and very large steel sections – to 0-60 mm as the end-product. For the rugged impact mill, which is powered by a CAT C13 diesel motor, this was no problem. With a total weight of 49.8 t, innocrush 50 operates at a throughput rate of up to 420 t/h (Fig. 2). The result is high-quality, extremely hard crushed concrete – cleanly separated from iron. Thanks to the good quality, the iron could be resold at a top price, that is the application of the crusher immediately paid for itself.
