Wear experts from Bochum back in the quarry
Stahlwerke Bochum GmbH (SWB) will exhibit again at this year’s steinexpo. This company has specialized in the manufacture of highly wear-resistant tools and components for steel and metal recycling as well as in the processing of minerals, hard rock and redisual construction materials. The company will present its comprehensive range of products and services, and the experts of SWB will offer advisory service attuned to individual requirements.
Based on decades of experience and high-quality materials, SWB manufactures highly wear-resistant tools and components, which will essentially increase the profitability of the crushers, shredders, shears and other processing plant equipped with them. The service offered by SWB also comprises individual consultations for use and the adaptation of the wearing parts to the design and use of the machinery to be equipped with them. With their standard supply program and supplementary equipment particularly developed, SWB offers products for all fields of application with highest wear resistance to abrasion, erosion and shocks as well as simultaneously high insensitivity to fracture.
The manufacture of SWB is based on a computer-controlled simulation of the foundry technology. After manufacturing the patterns, the moulds are manufactured – for series in a semi-automatic mould plant, and for the individual manufacture in the manual moulding shop for castings up to 7000 kg. Depending on the wear stress, SWB supplies wear parts of low-alloy and highly alloyed steel as well as of cast special materials for maximum wear stress. The final quality of the wear parts is achieved by an individual heat treatment corresponding to the future requirements.
