Rubble Master Xperience Days: New definition of mobile crushing
25 years ago Gerald Hanisch created a business model offering the possibility of sustainable elimination of demolition waste. Today, Rubble Master is one of the leading companies as regards mobile compact crushing. The crushers are used worldwide at sites, in road construction and in rough terrain. Thus, the most different materials - from remnants of the brick productions via asphalt and concrete waste up to residual demolition waste - can be recovered as high-quality building materials in a carefully controlled way. The valuable material thus recovered can be used, for example, as surface layer for tennis courts or as filling material. Furthermore, natural stone can be crushed directly at site. “Due to the technology of our RM crushers really pointing the way ahead, we achieved the breakthrough in the international market from Linz”, Gerald Hanisch was pleased to note during the RM Xperience Days. More than 300 international dealers and customers met at the headquarters of the company in Linz from 29th September to 01st October 2016 to exchange their knowledge and experience based on case studies and also had the chance to see the latest generation of the RM crushers during a live demonstration.
International success: From the USA to Asia
The focus of the Upper Austrian company has always been on its core competences, i.e. the development, marketing and service of mobile crushing plants in the compact category. During its 25 years of activities, Rubble Master has sold more than 2100 compact crushers. In 2015 the company achieved a turnover of 48.5 million €. This corresponds to an increase of more than 8 % as compared to the previous year. “Our clearly visible yellow plants are sold on all continents. In addition to the core markets in Central Europe and North America, we are successful in the market also in Eastern Europe and Russia, in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, South America and Australia. In 2016 the business activities in Asia and Australia were expanded due to the cooperation with strong regional sales partners”, reported Gerald Hanisch.
The export rate of Rubble Master amounts to 95 %. The majority of the crushers from RM are sold in the European core market. “A quarter of our turnover already falls to the North and South American market. There we also expect a large growth potential for the future”, CFO Günther Weissenberger is convinced. Rubble Master meets the high service requirements of the Americans. Our own RM branch office in the USA makes it possible to expand strategically the US market. Together with currently ten sales partners in the USA, Rubble Master stands for reliability and continuity in this market.
Current reference projects in Asia and Australia
In spring 2016 Rubble Master extended its business activities in the Asian region. Together with the sales partner Multico Equipment & Parts, Rubble Master is opening up the markets of the countries Brunei, Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Taiwan.
The goal of the company is to become the largest dealer network for technical equipment in Asia. As with Rubble Master, longstanding partnerships and excellent service are the top values of the companies. The focus of Multico Equipment & Parts, which was founded in 1980, is on heavy machinery for the industries, construction, extraction of oil and gas, off-shore operations, configuration of the ground and the recycling industry. With 39 employees the company from Singapore made a turnover of about 22.8 million € in the financial year 2015/16.
Since 2016 RM sells its products in Australia via the business partner 888 Crushing & Screening Equipment, which offers the complete range of crushers from RM. “With our comprehensive industrial know-how, we realize the importance of the efficiency and functionality of the equipment we sell. Now the compact crushers from Rubble Master complete our offer of high-tech construction machinery and equipment, and we sell them in the whole of Australia”, explained Henry Neville, Director of 888 Crushing & Screening Equipment. The crushers from Rubble Master are already in operation for important urban demolition projects in Sydney and Melbourne.
For the first time a crusher from RM is being tested by 888CSE also for gold mining in Australia. The machine with a throughput of 30 t/h is operating at Novo Resources in the Federal State of Western Australia and crushes ore of up to 30 cm down to a grain size of 3 mm. Based on the current gold price, they can thus extract gold with a value of 12 to 18 000 dollars per hour.
Research and development as factors of success
Rubble Master was founded in 1991. That was a time when they tentatively started to consider the reuse of materials used for construction. “Since the beginning we had the vision to help companies to create value with mobile recycling of demolition waste”, Gerald Hanisch explained his vision. For this reason, one focus of Rubble Master was always on the field of research and development. Therefore, the high level of investment for this purpose will also be retained during the years to come. The specialist know-how gained over many years as well as new findings will be passed on to the customers of RM in the form of intuitively operable and profitable mobile crushers. The unique corporate culture is based on the motivation and responsibility of the employees. Frankness and transparency play a central role with Rubble Master. Gerald Hanisch also attaches great importance to the training of highly qualified apprentices. At present, 11 apprentices being trained in the professions mechatronics technician, construction technician, trained clerical worker, metal technician with the modules mechanical engineering and design as well as corporate logistics merchant.
The latest innovation: RM 120GO!
The new flagship of RM with a throughput of up to 350 t/h propels Rubble Master into a new league and redefines mobile recycling. With this product innovation RM sets new standards as regards capacity, ease of maintenance, efficiency and modern design. The RM 120GO! can be used to crush many different materials. Based on the known RM GO! principle, it offers all prerequisites for a reliable and user-friendly crusher. Moving and crushing in one operation, the further optimization of the material flow, high-quality finished products based on a particularly designed crushing unit as well as a very cost-effective and environmentally friendly drive system are the essential advantages.
Sustainability as the central thread in the company
The topic of sustainability is seen as a central thread running through the entire company. The mobile compact crushers, which crush the most different materials, construction material debris and natural stone, are created in offices and workshops that were set up in an energy-efficient construction method.
Environmental compatibility is characteristic of the company not only because of the crushers themselves. Plants from RM are operated with and for the recycling idea, i.e. the emission values of the crushers comply with all legal restraints regarding the permitted emissions. For this reason they are highly accepted by the authorities and neighbouring countries. Thus, Rubble Master was awarded the Best Business Award for sustainable company management. This is an award of the company forum for the European Danube-Vltava region. Furthermore, the company was awarded with TRIGOS – AWARD 2015, Austria’s award for Corporate Social Responsibility. This award is an evaluation of the comprehensive commitment of the companies in the social and ecological field. “We highly appreciate this award for sustainability as regards the economic, social and environmental aspects”, Gerald Hanisch was very enthusiastic about the success.
