Mibau fit for the future with PFREUNDT system solution

M‌ibau Holding GmbH (Mibau) is one of the largest suppliers of mineral building materials in Northern Europe. With currently 400 employees, the company is active in seven countries and produces up to 16 million tonnes of aggregates annually. These are used in a wide variety of areas, such as road construction, hydraulic engineering, concrete and railway construction. The building materials are transported to the customer either by the company’s own fleet of ships or indirectly via 40 port terminals along the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts.

Having already relied on PFREUNDT weighing systems for weighing aggregates for several years, Mibau has decided to implement a comprehensive WK60 system solution from PFREUNDT. The aim was to simplify time-consuming work processes through the digital recording of weighing data and to reduce time-consuming administration work directly on the vehicle in order to increase the productivity of the machine.

Eight Mibau company locations in the cities of Amsterdam, Emden, Cuxhaven, Bremen, Kiel, Papenburg and Damsdorf are currently connected to the PFREUNDT system solution with all the wheel loaders and truck scales used there. The integration of further locations is possible at any time. Each Mibau site is mapped in an ERP system. If an order is now created in the ERP system, this order is exported to an exchange database via an automatic data comparison. In the next step, the data is automatically transferred to the PFREUNDT Web Portal via the exchange database and then also automatically synchronised with the WK60 weighing systems.

When a customer’s truck arrives at the loading point of a Mibau site, the customer only needs to tell the wheel loader driver his order number. The wheel loader driver selects the corresponding order on the WK60. He can also view the master data for this order at this point. The driver then loads the vehicle according to the order data. After completion of the loading process, the weighing data is automatically transferred from the WK60 to the exchange database via the web portal. The ERP system reads the generated weighing data and assigns it to the corresponding location and order based on the order number. Weighing via the truck scales is carried out according to the same principle.
