The summer break is over and now the first events are taking place again. In his article starting on p. 45, Dr Harder reports on the current hotspots in Africa‘s mining industry, where around one third of the world‘s mineral resources are deposited and more than 430 mining companies are active. Small-scale mining also plays a role in the extraction of mineral resources in Africa.
