Even the most mature technologies can be optimized, as Dr. Franz Wolpers describes in his article “A new approach to steep-angle conveying in quarries and smaller open-pit mines with thyssenkrupp’s Skip Way System” (from p. 48.). He presents a cost-effective and eco-friendly steep-angle conveying technology that can be integrated easily into existing steep open-pit mines or quarries and represents a cost-effective alternative to the truck haulage usual so far. 

Also ore crushing processes have not changed very much in recent years. However, there is no standstill in this field...
