Global première in action
At steinexpo Kleemann presents for the first time its new mobile cone crusher in the version with classifying screen and material return conveyor. In a live demonstration the plant shows its qualities in combination with a mobile jaw crusher of type Mobicat MC 110 Z EVO and the double-deck screen Mobiscreen MS 16 Z.
The completely revamped mobile impact crusher from the Mobirex EVO series, the MR 110 Z EVO 2, also celebrates a trade fair première on German turf. Presented for the first time in March of this year in Las Vegas, some varieties of the machine are already in customer use. A highlight of this system is the new lock & turn system, which represents genuine added safety and comfort for the operator. The replacement of the baffle plate is simplified considerably by an innovative and easy-to-operate locking mechanism of the rotor, a key transfer system ensures that danger zones can only be accessed when the drive is shut down. This system was recently awarded the promotional prize by the BG RCI in the building materials, crude and manufactured materials industry. For this reason, this type of crusher model will also be showcased at the stand of the BG RCI.
However, the main attraction is definitely the new Mobicone MCO 9 S (Fig. 1). The „S“ version is, so to speak, the sister machine of the MCO 9 and can be equipped with a classifying screen with oversized grain return conveyor. This permits a closed material cycle and thus the production of a defined final grain size. The oversized grain can be optionally discharged via the swivel-mounted return conveyor at the side. Similar to the other machines in the EVO line, the MCO 9 S is also driven by a powerful diesel direct drive, which together with the electric drives of the conveyor belts ensures very efficient operation. So that the power is also delivered to where it is needed, the crusher housing design was optimised and, as a result, over 160 kW of the total of 248 kW strong hydraulic drive is continuously available at the crusher. In combination with the large stroke of the cone crusher, this ensures a maximum throughput of up to 260 t/h. The plant can be transported with the classifying screen and weighs 38.5 tons. The classifying screen can also be easily transported separately using the hook and lift system and weighs 5.5 tons on its own. The transport weight of the MCO 9 S is thus reduced to 33 tons.
The MCO 9 S is equipped with the same touch panel control system, which has already been tried and tested with the other EVO plants. Therefore, those who are familiar with this control system will not take long to adapt to the new control system. The operation of the plant in conjunction with a mobile jaw crusher of type Mobicat MC 110 Z EVO, which can be seen at steinexpo, results in the best possibilities of electrical locking. The MCO 9 S EVO and MC 110 Z EVO are thus ideally matched. Their different material conveying elements such as the vibrating chute or grizzly can be optimally adapted to each other. This assures that the cone crusher always maintains the optimal filling level and thus produces a high-quality end product.
The MC 110 Z also impresses with its crusher unit with a high-raised crusher jaw, which avoids blockages in the crusher area and significantly improves the material feed characteristics, with its familiar effective double-deck grizzly and very efficient consumption values. In operation the mobile plant combination of the two machines leads to a very productive and, at the same time, very economical result.
As in practice material is not only crushed but also screened, Kleemann is showcasing the Mobiscreen MS 16 Z (Fig. 2) from its comprehensive range of mobile classifying screen and heavy-duty screens. The MS 16 Z has two screening decks with a screening area of 6.5 m² or 5.6 m² (upper deck/lower deck) and a feed capacity of approx. 350 t/h. This plant fits perfectly with the plant team MC 110/MCO 9 S, which can be seen live in action at the Kleemann trade fair stand at steinexpo.
