Summary: At the Erzberg (Ore Mountain) in the Styrian town of Eisenerz in Austria, VA Erzberg GmbH produces around 2.7 mill. t/a fine ore at a material extraction volume of around 11 mill. t/a. This makes the Erzberg the biggest open iron ore mine in Central Europe. Since 2014, a fully automatic fine ore storage facility has been in operation there. A key component of this facility is the reclaimer supplied by SBM Mineral Processing, the Austrian specialist for mineral processing technology.
