CHIEFTAIN 2200: Mobile screening factory with two screen trays

Patented double screening machine DUO can be used as force screen and/or flexible-drive screen. Screen trays manufactured according to the Huckbolt system are convincing due to their absorption of high accelerative forces and long life. However, irrespective of the speed, also in this case the stroke decreases a bit at the front and the back of the tray. This problem is elegantly solved by two screening machines with medium-length trays operated separately from each other. By the way, this design allows the operation with different screen inclinations. Powerscreen has further developed this concept. Two screen trays of 1500 x 3000 mm are used for the CHIEFTAIN 2200 optionally as eccentric force screens supported by four bearings or flexible-drive screens with a stroke of 8 to 10 mm. It is the operator who selects the screen system, inclination and stroke. Depending on the requirement he also may combine different screen systems.

The trays of the CHIEFTAIN 2200 have a considerable net screening surface of 1500 x 6000 mm. Furthermore, there is space on the frame with a weight of up to 40 t for a feed hopper of 8 m³, for integrated stockpiling belts with a width of 800 mm or 1200 mm, respectively, and for the CAT diesel engine of 98.8 kW. The sand belt has a discharge height of 5160 mm corresponding to the throughput. With these performance data, the CHIEFTAIN 2200 from Powerscreen sets new standards in the mobile screening technology.

With the dimensions of 19 790 x 300 x 3550 mm (length/width/height) the CHIEFTAIN 2200 is transported to the site as one unit and can be commissioned without any longer assembly times.

“We are very thankful that Powerscreen has developed this plant. Enough is just not enough for many people. Increasing quality and performance requirements are a challenge for our customers to achieve new records. The CHIEFTAIN 2200 meets these requirements”, said Rüdiger Christophel during the presentation of his first supply in Germany. “The machine is very interesting for those involved in the screening of sand and stone chippings. The variable possibility of adjustment of the screening systems is an enormous advantage in the competition regarding the acquisition of orders in particular for service providers”.
