Six manufacturers under one roof

Six manufacturers will be showcasing new machines under the auspices of the two German traders, Christophel and Kölsch. Information and innovations in the fields of screening, crushing, handling and washing, together with the matching waste-water processing system, will be shown live on the machines and demonstrated in action.

Coarse preliminary screening tasks are successfully tackled in German quarries using Powerscreen’s Warrior series. This design is also excellently suitable for use as a final mechanical screen. Powerscreen recommends the PREMIERTRAK 400X as a new jaw crusher for comminution purposes. Hopper walls with guide vanes for feeding from the rear using wheel-loaders disentangle the feed material and boost the efficiency of the - if required - active grizzly pre-screener. The feed aperture of the single-crank jaw crusher measures 1100 x 700 mm. An integrated final mechanical screen makes this model particularly interesting for all operators who wish to produce a controlled particle distribution without additional mechanical-screen transportation. The high performance expectations made on the PREMIERTRAK 400X are justified by 248 kW of drive power and 45 t to 53 t of operational weight, depending on equipment variant.

The CHIEFTAIN 2200 compact screening system underwent a brilliant market launch at “Christophel’s – SAS open days” in 2016. Numerous references now testify to the unparalleled performance potentials of the two in-line screen frames, of dimensions 2 x 1500 x 3300 mm (w/l). The CHIEFTAIN 2200 is to be shown as a triple-deck screening system at the steinexpo for the first time in Germany. Close examination will be worthwhile for visitors suffering from performance and/or quality limitations, in particular.

Portafill has consistently expanded its range of products. All seven different models are notable for their transportability in standard shipping containers. New to the range is the track-mounted 850 x 500 mm 9000JC single-crank jaw crusher, which convinces with its transportation dimensions of only 9600 x 2500 x 2900 mm and transportation weight of only 23 t. This machine is to be shown in operation complete with the integrated final screening unit for production of a saleable particle-size fraction. The final-screening module can be removed with only little effort, and then transported separately or used on Portafill’s 7000I impact-crusher or 8000CC cone crusher machines. The 3200 x 1100 mm long/wide mechanical screen is of identical construction for all the crusher-system models. Portafill also supplies a matching grizzly or final-screening machine, where three saleable fractions are required, in the form of its 5000CT model.

CityEquip has now taken a position above the PF 9000JC, with its 900 x 500 mm CityTrak 9TX jaw crusher. This machine weighs around 29 t and the visual differences are also quickly discernible. The large feed trough and crusher output below the feed point predestine the CityTrak 9TX for mobile recycling tasks with wheel-loader feed and high iron contents. The moving crank itself propels the iron in the direction of conveyance of the extraction belt. There is generous space below the trough, assuring optimum access to the belt. The belt, at 1000 mm in width, is designed wider than the crusher itself, in order to eliminate blockages. If this is not sufficient to exclude such problems, the belt can also be lowered hydraulically down to ground level. The system can now be entered below the hopper. At the steinexpo, Christophel and Kölsch will be showing this machine with an attached final-screening unit. Like all CityEquip crusher models, the CityTrak 9TX is also equipped with a diesel-electric drive system for feed-in of third-party electricity.

RM Rubble Master unveiled its RM 120GO! impact crusher to a world audience at the bauma in 2016. Now, one year later, the first references are available in Hesse. A drive rating of 286 kW, an input aperture of 1160 x 820 mm, an 1100 mm rotor and already proven performance of 35 t/h at an operational weight of less than 40 t, inc. the MS 125 final mechanical screen and return belt, simply make this crusher a born winner. Use for hewn stone provides a practical demonstration of the capabilities of the machine’s load-dependent control system. “Move it – Start it – Earn money!” is the motto for operation of the RM 120GO!. The medium-size range impact-crusher system can be taken to its deployment location with absolutely no need for any special permits. This time around, Christophel and Kölsch are showing the 90 and 20 models, also deputising for the 60, 70 and 100 sizes, which had to stay at home this time.

In the outdoor exhibition grounds, all the essential constituents of the waste-water preparation system will be on display and will be explained at the complete Matec test facility, on Stand C 27. Here, construction-specific properties, and their effects during operation, will be explained in detail. Matec will be offering free-of-charge specimen pressings in its works if sludge samples are supplied. Every system bid can thus be submitted with corresponding operational reliability. Where this is not sufficient, the test facility can be deployed on site for German customers, and proof provided during continuous operation.

Whether for loading of ships and rail vehicles, all forms of unloading, achieving more stacking capacity in restricted spaces, avoidance of contamination by wheel-loaders, cost-reductions - the potential applications for low-feeder models are manifold. Front feed height is between 2 and 3 m, with a feed width of around 4000 mm. The wheel-loader can thus shovel up to 500 t/h into Telestack’s LF 520 smoothly and without complication. The 1200 mm wide belts convey the necessary quantities safely. Operation is assured by 75 kW of drive power and the track-mounted relocation of the machine. The LF 520 is being shown for the first time in Germany. The slewing rim between the lower crawler section and the hopper/belt unit permits rotation of the superstructure on the chassis, as in the case of an excavator. The LF 520 can thus run parallel to the edge of a quay or parallel to railway tracks, to load rail vehicles. The LF 520 also repays its investment cost quickly when bulk materials are to be stacked in various receptacles.
