Beltcon 19 – The International Materials Handling Conference and Exhibition
Beltcon attracts accomplished speakers and researchers from around the world such as South Africa, India, Australia, America, Chile and Germany. It is a forum for interactive exchange of knowledge and innovation over a concentrated time period. Topics covered included: technical evaluation of a coal silo failure; finite element analysis on troughed belt turnover and textile belt analysis; Aramid in conveyor belts; design considerations of a downhill conveyor system; dynamic and fatigue analysis on bulk materials handling equipment; the influence of steel cord conveyor belt dimensions on indentation rolling resistance performance; and a case study on the development of input parameters for DEM simulation, plus many more.
Suppliers displayed products and services relevant to the conveying industry in the exhibition that ran concurrently with the conference, always a drawcard for delegates and a useful networking opportunity for the exhibitors.
