AT MINERAL PROCESSING: What highlight are you presenting at SOLIDS Dortmund 2018?

Alexanderwerk: Alexanderwerk will be presenting interested visitors with a wide range of possibilities in dry granulation and compaction. With the help of the products from Alexanderwerk, considerable cost savings are possible, particularly in comparison with standard granulation processes, in the investment phase as well as in the operating phase. We supply applications from pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, life science and nuclear technology and can therefore draw on a huge range of experience from the company‘s over 130 years of history. Particularly interesting for the visitors will certainly be our “Advanced Service Support” solutions – a global online service for our machines, the control and monitoring options with tablet and smartphone, the flexible containment solutions and not least the incorporation of PATS in the pharmaceuticals industry.

AT MINERAL PROCESSING: What is the most exciting development in your business area at present?

Alexanderwerk: Almost every day we come across new applications materials the value of which can be increased with our machines. Whether it be with the reduction of production costs or with the improved quality of materials, our customers can use the roller compactors from Alexanderwerk to achieve considerable added value and therefore also competition advantages. While our machines run almost 24/7 in chemicals and nuclear engineering, in the pharmaceutical industry they still work with “batches”. Alexanderwerk can, however, already report the first successes in “continuous production” here, too, and this in cooperation with renowned universities in Germany and the USA.

AT MINERAL PROCESSING: What do you expect from the trade fair as an exhibitor?

Alexanderwerk: A trade fair is always a welcome opportunity for us to talk to interested visitors, new customers and established customers about new products and experience from our company, but also requirements from the specific applications. Only in this way is it possible for us to continuously further develop our plants and equipment.
