Open day at Metso in Bochum

On 14 and 15 September, the doors will be flung wide open to interested professionals and their families at Metso in Bochum, Germany (Fig.). The event will include various talks, some of which devoted to new technical solutions aimed at improving production in day-to-day mineral processing. As a company with a broad base, Metso has acquired a great deal of expert knowledge in different processes and application scenarios and would like to share this experience with the trade public. Focus will be on the development of track-mounted crusher technologies for quarries, the use of efficient screen technologies for both everyday and unusual separation and sizing duties, product development of new cone crusher technologies and a wide range of solutions for wet and mineral processing.

A particular highlight in the series of talks is work safety around belt conveyors: here the audience will hear an informative talk on how personal protection and efficiency can be effectively combined at all moving parts of the conveyor. Subject of the presentation are the new “Hi Safe products” for belt conveyors, which lend completely new meaning to “accident prevention” during conveyor operation. Interesting new machines and exhibits selected to demonstrate the points made will round off the series of talks. All talks and presentations will be kept brief and easy to understand so as to benefit not only the already informed visitors but also interest anyone they may have brought along with them. Refreshments will be served and lots of games and fun arranged on both days. And Metso’s team will be on hand to assist the visitors in every way.
