Focus on Aggregates – Gravel, Sand, Quarried Rock
Conference in Hanover/Germany (08.-09.02.2011)
The conference Focus on Aggregates will be held from 08.-09.02.2011 at the Old Town Hall in Hanover. It follows on from the successful series of events Kies + Sand kompakt held in past years. Organizers are the newly established Verband der Bau- und Rohstoffindustrie, e.V. (vero – Asso-ciation of the Building and Raw Materials Industry Regd) and the Bundesverband der Deutschen Kies- und Sandindustrie e.V. (BKS – Federal Association of the German Sand and Gravel Industry Regd), Duisburg. The varied programme takes up current issues.
The first day will address perception of the aggregates industry in Germany, focussing on the quality and application of aggregates, political, economic and social representation of the industry, the assurance of a continued supply of raw materials as well as environmental and health protection. On the second day, the topics will concern operations and field practice as well as innovations, especially operating equipment and costs, consequences of the EuP Directive (Energy using Products) for machine operation as well as modern and forward-looking technologies for the industry. The second day will be rounded off by a talk by Michael von Kunhardt headed „Fit at the Work-place“, which will invite attendees to do more than just sit back and listen.
The parallel exhibition of suppliers and service providers for the industry has been integrated into the overall concept and will be organized in the usual manner by Geoplan GmbH. An informal get-together at a brewery, the Brauhaus Ernst August, will provide further opportunity for relaxed talks among colleagues and business partners.
