Double and triple
ZEMMLER® Siebanlagen has been manufacturing the MULTI SCREEN® MS 2001 mobile double barrel trommel in Germany since 2007. With the launch of the larger trommel ZEMMLER MULTI SCREEN® MS 5200 in September 2010, the MS 2100 has been renamed the MS 4200. The special feature of the MULTI SCREEN® MS 4200 is its double barrel, which enables screening of material into three fractions, such as, for example, construction waste into coarse rock and roots, ballast and gravel, and fine sand to a size of 2 mm (Fig.) as the third fraction. The wire screens of the MULTI SCREEN® MS 4200 are made of 1-6 mm thick and high strenght wires which allow them to withstand even heavy loads. These wire screens allow a larger number of meshes per unit area. This results into a larger open screening surface and increases the screening efficiency. The Covering of the double barrel with various screens, enables variable screening of different materials in the sizes ranging from 2-80 mm. Experience has shown that capacity usually ranges between 20 and 150 m³/h depending on the material, mesh size and feeding.
The hydraulically driven cleaning brush with variable speed guarantees a clean outer screen at all time and the machine works at full capacity. Besides the variable speed, the brush can be adjusted to the distance to the outer barrel of the trommel. The large double barrel with an inner barrel diameter of 1500 mm and an outer barrel diameter of 2005 mm runs on four carrier rollers. The self-supporting frame, made of double T-sections, absorbs vibrations and jolts during work process and therefore prevents damage to the machine. To be better protected against mechanical effects from outside, the frame and cover plates are powder coated. The large maintenance doors of the screen enable easy access to the double barrel, the motor and the hydraulic components.
The approx. 10-m-long and 12,8 t heavy MULTI SCREEN® MS 4200 stands on double axes with twin tyres, which guarantee stable and safe transportation. Due to the pneumatic suspension, the MULTI SCREEN® MS 4200 can be lifted of about 10 cm and therewith easily moved even on difficult terrain. Another plus for its mobility is the set-up time of five minutes. The MULTI SCREEN® MS 4200 can be equipped with different drawbar eyes, e.g. with 40 or 50 mm diameter and is fitted with an anti-lock braking system. The MULTI SCREEN® MS 4200 is DEKRA-certified and complies with CE standards. It is approved for 70 km/h in Scandinavia and 80 km/h in the rest of Europe. The 70 kW water-cooled 4-cylinder Perkins diesel engine of the double barrel trommel fulfills all current emission standards EC-NRMM Stage 3A. It guarantees a high reliability of the trommel during operation. All hydraulic valves are of the same type to ensure optimum power supply to the entire hydraulic system. All belt conveyor frames are heavy-duty and hot-dip galvanized. The operating panel displays all functions of the PLC unit. The MULTI SCREEN® MS 4200 can be optionally operated by a remote control.
