10 years of ZEMMLER® screens
Back in the year 2000, Heiko Zemmler established his company ZEMMLER Recycling und Aufbereitungstechnik in Großräschen with the aim of repairing the double trommel screens manufactured by Vedbysonder Maskinfabrik and later Svedala, buying used screens, in order to recondition and resell them, as well as hiring out available machines. When Svedala ceased production of the double trommel screens, the Danish company Ellegaard A/S designed, with the support of Heiko Zemmler, a newly developed double trommel screen and launched the MULTI SCREEN MS 2001 onto the market. When Ellegaard A/S ceased production of the double trommel screen in early 2008, Heiko Zemmler decided to buy up the production. Shortly after that, the first ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® MS 2001 (Fig.) left the Großräschen facility. Accordingly, the company has evolved from a one-man operation to a European player with the known company structure based on manufacturing, hiring, service and replacement parts as well as the buying and selling of used machinery. For the company’s tenth year, there are more new things. Based on the modular design of the double screens, various double screens will be supplied in future. By the end of the year, four mo-bile double trommel screens with trommel lengths from 1600 mm to 6700 mm as well as four stationary double trommel screens will be available.
