Comminution and dispersion

Course at the Institute of Particle Technology

of Brunswick Technical University/Germany

(04.– 07.10.2010)

The basic course under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing.
A. Kwade, which will take place from 4th to 5th October 2010, will give an overall view of the physical and process engineering connections during comminution and dispersion with agitator ball mills. It will be shown how this knowledge could be used for the design and optimization of comminution and dispersion processes. In addition, they will discuss the operation of agitator ball mills including the problems involved, such as scale-up. Within the framework
of the following workshop on 6th October 2010 it will be possible to discuss problems of individual processes and to develop solutions for optimization. Finally, special aspects of the nanoparticle production will be discussed during the “nano” course on 7th October 2010.
