Large order for sole supplier

ZF Passau has signed a contract with the manufacturer of construction machinery and equipment JCB covering the future supply of axles for wheeled loaders and dumpers. JCB has already been a regular customer of ZF Passau since 1979. At first they delivered steering axles for tractors (AP-L 1351), before the first gearboxes for construction machinery and equipment (4WG120) followed in 1981. Meanwhile ZF supplies the entire gearbox series Ergopower from WG 115 to 260 for wheeled loaders and articulated dump trucks as well as roller and mobile excavator units. In addition to the JCB plants in England and India, ZF also supplies Ergopower gearboxes for high-speed excavator loaders to the JCB production location in the USA. Therefore, for many years, ZF has been the sole supplier of gearboxes for wheeled loader and dumper applications. After intensive project work in the fields of sales, development and product line management, now a breakthrough has also been achieved as regards axles. The installed axles from competitors will be completely replaced by those from ZF. As a result, ZF is also the sole supplier for driveline components in the medium and upper vehicle segment.
