Heavy-duty tyres for any type of industrial and construction machinery
Goodyear Dunlop Tires Germany GmbH will present their comprehensive range of off-the-road (OTR) tyres for construction and industrial machinery at the steinexpo 2011 that will take place from 31 August to 3 September 2011. In particular, tyres for dumpers and wheeled loaders will be shown at the Goodyear Dunlop stand. It goes without saying that as premium supplier of OTR tyres Goodyear Dunlop will be present at the steinexpo. Goodyear Dunlop will present its efficient products on demonstration area “D”. The company offer a comprehensive portfolio of heavy-duty tyres for any type of industrial and construction machinery for versatile use in the construction and extraction sector. Europe’s largest basalt quarry will be the exhibition site of the demonstration fair for the construction industry. This is the ideal area for realistic live presentations of the machinery and to present innovations from this sector.
“The focus of our presentation at steinexpo will be, amongst other things, on our traction tyres with no fixed rolling direction for dumpers as well as on the classical offer of tyres for wheeled loaders and dumpers working in quarries”, explained Volker Aßmann, Manager OTR Sales of Goodyear Dunlop. One of the highlights on the exhibition area of Goodyear Dunlop will be the newly developed Goodyear RT-4A (Fig. 1), size 18.00 R 33, a traction tyre with no fixed rolling direction for dumpers of the 40-t payload class. With its new, reinforced 3-star steel carcass, this tyre offers the optimum load-carrying capacity of its category. Furthermore, with its excellent self-cleaning capability and its tread depth of 150%, it is the suitable tyre for handling tasks in quarries or at large-scale building sites, where, in addition to maximum traction and reliable ruggedness, an above average load-carrying capacity as well as low wear are required. The visitors will also be informed about the Goodyear GP‑4D (Fig. 2) with a tread depth of 150%, which is also offered as a low-profile tyre of the series 65. The GP-4D is a modern, efficient radial tyre for dumpers and wheeled loaders. Goodyear Dunlop will also present at the steinexpo the latest generation of the successful Goodyear RL-5K (Fig. 3). Its closed rock tread of 250% offers extreme protection against bottoming as well as impact damage and, consequently, is especially suitable for the harshest conditions in quarries. The reinforced sidewall and the 2-star all-steel carcass provide the required stability and additional protection against lateral injuries. Highly cut-resistant tread and sidewall mixtures result in extremely high mileages of this L-5 tyre.
Goodyear Dunlop offer a wide range of products and sizes for many applications in the ORT segment. The range of offers include the classical earth moving machinery as well as tyres for industrial machines for the transhipment of goods (container handling) or in the steel industry. Diagonal tyres in some size categories complete the premium radial program.
