Elevating your visitor experience
Thank you to everyone who completed the 2024 visitor survey. Your feedback is much appreciated, and invaluable to us in shaping a range of new initiatives for 2026 …
- The introduction of timed arrival slots on Tuesday and Wednesday to help reduce waiting at peak times. A pre-allocated amount of morning or afternoon (12:30 pm onwards) slots will be available to select when you register for your ticket online. This will be combined with an extended opening time until 6pm, giving lunchtime arrivals plenty of time to enjoy the show.
- Further reductions to Hillhead’s carbon footprint, both by building on existing policies and introducing new sustainable practices. This includes expanding our programme of replacing diesel with HVO on site; introducing solar power where practicable; and eliminating single use plastic.
- The rollout of additional hydration stations. These proved extremely popular in 2024 allowing visitors to bring and refill their own water bottles with fresh, cold, filtered water and saving the equivalent of 12 000 plastic water bottles.
- The installation of a new water system that will almost double the site’s operational capacity. This will enable us to further increase the number of toilet facilities at the show, as well as providing faster flowing potable water to service the show’s catering requirements.
- An enhanced demonstration viewing experience with more timetabled events; curated content; and live commentaries across the site than ever before.
