Sandvik feeder breaker supports fast-growing mining market
Sandvik Mining and Construction has been awarded an order for a project comprising the CR310/14-16 feeder breaker, including a wing wall to be installed in the PT.GH EMM Indonesia open lignite coal mine for primary crushing. The project also encompasses an order for a Sandvik-engineered feed hopper. This feeder breaker model is designed for use in open-pit and underground mining for primary crushing of soft to medium-hard feed materials. One of the reference installations, the Huolinhe open-pit mine located in Inner Mongolia, has been working successfully for many years. The CR310/14-16, with a capacity of 1 000 mt/h (1 100 st/h), has a roll diameter of 1 400 mm (55 in) and a roll width of 1 600 mm (63 in). The typical product size is < 300 mm (12 in), for further transportation on standard belt conveyors. Another key factor in securing the contract was Sandvik’s extensive local presence in Indonesia with respect to aftermarket and service. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2010.
