Functional Safety & Standards in the raw materials and recycling industry

Colloquium, RWTH Aachen University/Germany (05.05.2011)

Without any transition period the new EC machinery directive is obligatory since December 29th 2009. The central safety standard EN 954-1 has been replaced by EN ISO 13849-1 (Performance Level, PL) and EN 62061 (Safety Integrity Level, SIL), which are aligned under the EC machinery directive. The impact caused by this replacement concerning pneumatic, hydraulic and electric controls is the major focus of the colloquium organized by the Institute for Mining and Metallurgy Machinery (IMR) at RWTH Aachen University. Major topics of the colloquium also include the ATEX directive and the Hazardous Areas Classification. You will find more detailed information about the program and registration on the homepage of IMR (Aktuelles).
