25.10.2012 Enhanced abrasion resistant stitched boots
Rock Fall (UK) Ltd releases the Titanium RF4500 boot, with stitching that provides a higher level of resistance to abrasion from limestone, oil and tarmac, making it perfect for oil and gas workers, engineering, construction and rail environments.
The Titanium boot features an array of innovative features, including: a composite toecap and midsole, an 8” mud repellent and waterproof side zip, thermo-plastic internal ankle support, and rubber kick off protector and scuff guard. The boots feature the renowned Activ-Tex Waterproof and Breathable Membrane, flexi-collar for increased comfort when driving, a padded ankle for superior support and comfort, and their outsole is heat resistant to 300°C. Their exclusive design feature includes the implementation of R-Ten sewing thread; a long lasting thread which enhances the durability and lifespan of the boot when exposed to alkalis such as limestone and also wearer abrasion.
Rock Fall UK’s research confirmed that one of the most common forms of problems with conventional safety footwear is stitching failure. R-Ten Sewing Thread provides increased protection from exposure to a number of elements and can therefore be trusted to provide ongoing foot protection to workers in offshore oil rigs and civil engineering, to name but two environments.
