TOMRA Sorting: Bringing sensor-based sorting in mining to a new level

TOMRA Sorting’s mining team will be attending MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada/USA, which will take place between September 26 and September 28, 2016. Although it is a relatively new technology in the mining sector, sensor-based sorting has the potential to address some of the major challenges the industry now faces: declining ore grades, production costs, water shortages and increasing environmental regulation.

Worldwide, TOMRA sorting systems already contributing increased productivity, delivering enhanced processing which is appreciably more energy-efficient, impressively more cost-effective and securing profitable recovery from marginal waste and mining blocks. TOMRA´s sensor-based solutions help to extend the life of mining operations and thus optimise and increase the overall value of deposits.
