23.01.2013 / BEUMER awarded for ethically sustainable business
Within the framework of a charity event in the Jewish Museum in Berlin, Dr. Christoph Beumer, active partner and CEO of the BEUMER Group, received the certificate of the economic initiative “Ethics in Business”. With this certificate companies are awarded, which feel obliged to ethical and sustainable business and which can prove that in practice. Dr. Christoph Beumer underlined during the award ceremony that sustainability is the combination of economic efficiency, ecological activities and social responsibility. For this reason, the BEUMER Group carefully uses raw materials and reduces the energy and raw material consumption, for example, by consistently pursuing the idea of sustainability during the process of development. For this purpose, the company has introduced the “BEUMER Sustainability Index”. Only after this elaborate evaluation system has reached a certain score, the plant or machine may be sold to the customer.
“In all our activities we are committed to our customers, partners, employees and the company by our basic values”, explained Dr. Beumer. It is especially important for him not only to develop products sustainably, but also the own company. Therefore, the management culture in the company has clearly been defined by written und published principles within the framework of the “Corporate Identity”. Furthermore, training and extended vocational training play a central role for BEUMER. With the BEUMER Campus, the international group of companies has created a modern platform offering many possibilities of training and extended vocational training. For example, the Campus comprises an “Onboarding Program” for colleagues from all over the world, web-based possibilities to learn as well as a comprehensive training catalogue.
