Artexis Easyfairs appoints new management in German region

Artexis Easyfairs, the Brussels-based events organiser and venue manager, has announced the appointment of Roland Brand as its new Head of Switzerland and Germany. Brand has served as Managing Director, Artexis Easyfairs in Switzerland since early in 2017 and replaces Siegbert Hieber in Germany. The company is also creating a new leadership role, Head of the North Rhine Westphalia (NRW) Unit. This position is also being filled internally by Daniel Eisele, who has successfully built the company’s industrial technology events in Germany and beyond.

“Our vision is to become a much bigger player in the German-speaking countries,” commented Artexis Easyfairs CEO and founder Eric Everard. “To grow, we need proper resources and very competent people with the right chemistry. We also need to develop branding, cross-selling and content synergies and share best practices.”
“Roland Brand has done an excellent job since joining us from the BERNEXPO GROUPE, where he transformed BERNEXPO into the third largest venue in Switzerland and developed several new trade fairs. We strongly believe that he is ideally qualified not only to drive forward our ambitious plans for the Swiss market, but also to build a leading events organisation in Germany,” said Everard.

“As Group Event Director, Germany, Daniel Eisele has successfully developed our Solids (Schüttgut), Recycling-Technik and Maintenance brands. He will expand the current programme of events in NRW and introduce event brands that have been successfully launched and developed in other countries (Pumps & Valves, Worksafe, Empack and Transport & Logistics). He will work closely with Roland, focusing on business development in North Rhine Westphalia,” added Everard.

The company also sees exciting growth opportunities in Switzerland. “It is a medium sized country with a mature economy and many thriving SME businesses, in many ways similar to Belgium, The Netherlands and Sweden, where we are the market leaders,” commented Roland Brand. “I am looking forward to working in close partnership with Daniel. We share the objectivity, open-mindedness and optimism that will bring us further success in Switzerland and Germany.”

Everard also paid tribute to the achievements of Siegbert Hieber, who leaves Artexis Easyfairs on 9 June 2017. “Siegbert joined Artexis Easyfairs in 2010 and transformed the fortunes of Easyfairs in Germany. He was a much liked and well-respected colleague and I am sorry to see him leave. I wish him every success in his future career.”
