The Importance of British Mining Equipment
The Association of British Mining Equipment Companies (ABMEC) is the only trade body representing the mining equipment and service providing companies in the UK. With over 30 members contributing $ 1 billion to the UK economy and employing over 2000 people, ABMEC members remain at the forefront of the mineral extraction industries.
Members’ offerings range from mine planning and design, mineral extraction, transportation, beneficiation and mine closure procedures. Building upon innovative, cost effective methods, these companies use their wealth of knowledge to export around 90 % of their goods and services. In order to stay ahead of the game in innovation, design and production methods, ABMEC holds its Annual Conference to discuss and develop ideas and strategies for the future of mining, both at home and abroad. The delegates range from CEO and management level to engineers and students wanting to maintain their continual personal development (CPD) and learn from the networking opportunities.
The conference will be held on Thursday 16 November 2017 at the Tankersley Manor Hotel near Barnsley (approx. 35 miles east of Manchester). Registration is open via the ABMEC website.
