The European Symposium on Comminution & Classification ESCC 2013

The European Symposium on Comminution & Classification ESCC has a 51 year tradition. From 09.-12.09. 2013 Braunschweig, or in English “Brunswick”, will host this international conference of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering, EFCE with its current chair Professor Dr.-Ing. Arno Kwade, which will take place for the 13th time. In connection with the ESCC, a workshop of the International Comminution Research Association “ICRA” will be held on the weekend before the conference and a short course on fine grinding with stirred media mills on Monday before the opening reception. The conference is structured in four sub-conferences with the topics Mineral Processing, Fine and Ultrafine Grinding in Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Other Industries, Fundamentals of Breakage and Comminution Models as well as New Applications. There will be several interesting plenary and keynote lectures from important comminution & classification experts from all over the world. The main advantage of the ESCC is that participants can learn much from other industries and can transfer it to their own applications. Everyone interested is invited to come to Braunschweig in 2013 to be part of the ESCC which will bring together experts of comminution & classification technology from industry and academics.

Oral or poster presentations will be focused on one of the following categories:

• Processing of primary and secondary materials, especially minerals and ores

• Grinding, dispersing and classification of fine particles, particularly in pharmaceutical, chemical and electronic industries

• New and non-classical applications as well as new developments of milling machines and mill periphery

• Fundamentals, modelling and simulation of particle breakage as well as of grinding and classification processes
