Service Management Now 100 % Digital
Planning, employee, customer data, machine histories and more can all be organized with project2web service management, software developed by NEUSTA in Bremen. Used in combination
with tablet PCs (Fig.) forfi eld service technicians, the webbased IT product is designed for
the digital entry, processing and archiving of all the information in a service company. As all customer, order and company data remain in the software, problems caused by errors and misunderstandings in employee communication as well as the time necessary for order processing are reduced. Further project2web service management can be used to keep track of employee
resources. Absences and further details are registered and taken into consideration by the software in real time, giving the planner/ coordinator more fl exibility in planning. New and changed orders are distributed via a data link. From entry of customer data, all details remain in the software; these can be viewed by authorized persons at any time via the Internet, with a commercially available web browser. Field technicians synchronize their data by means of tablet PC and a mobile internet connection. On site the employees process their service tickets on a portable computer, which is immediately validated once the customer enters his signature on the touch screen. This is enabled by the graphic display of the forms, which show no differences to the printed service ticket. With the signature, the order is accepted as completed, by means of data synchronization, the planner instantly obtains all associated data. A traffi clight indicator clearly shows how far maintenance or repair orders have been processed. Important facts such as the exact position, type, serial number, but also any completed maintenance work can also be displayed. It is also possible to establish whether a technician is available for a specifi c order by checking with project2web as all employee data such as holiday or sick days are stored there. Even the specifi c know-how of technicians can be stored in the software, to enable the assignment of suitably qualified colleagues to special jobs. Based on this overview, the planner can fl exibly organize team deployment and give customers
more exact times. Working hours can also be monitored with project2web, if required with the help of mobile telephones on which a small program transfers the times or any data entered by the user to the software – imprecise, handwritten hour sheets are a thing of the past. If required, even geographical location is possible to provide the customer with documentation of work invoiced by the technician. If the order changes or a new order arrives, project2web Service Management immediately sends an SMS to the mobile phone of an available technician.
