SBM Mineral Processing GmbH
SBM Mineral Processing, an Austrian enterprise with a long-standing tradition, ranks among the leading manufacturers of mineral processing and conveying plants for natural stones and recycling industries, and concrete mixing plants for prefab and ready-mixed concrete as well as the corresponding service & support. In August 2011, SBM was taken over by the shareholders of the company MFL - Maschinenfabrik Liezen und Gießerei Ges.m.b.H. This take-over was aimed at using the synergies existing between MFL and SBM to strengthen both brands known for highest possible quality standards in the global market. In January 2013, this process was successfully completed by integrating MFL’s Division Mineral Processing into SBM. Together, SBM and MFL have more than 120 years of technological know-how and 130 employees.
REMAX 1112 MAXI to the Expert Audience
In time for the bauma 2013, SBM launches a new mobile mineral processing plant and expands the REMAX series by a powerful, economic plant. With 41 tons this mobile track-mounted plant belongs to the medium-size class of the REMAX series. The new plant REMAX 1112 MAXI offers a completely redesigned material flow making material jamming a thing of the past. The discharge conveyor belt below the screen can be optionally fixed or swivelling by 180° increasing stockpile capacity fivefold and considerable improving logistic processes.
The impact crusher RHS ensures proven quality made by SBM. The rotor with a diameter of 1160 mm provides a very high energy level in the crushing chamber. Uniform crushing capacity and high throughput capacity are convincing performance parameters of the plant made by SBM. The diesel-electric drive system ensures low operating costs. REMAX 1112 MAXI is also equipped with a change-over switch for generator or mains operation further reducing operational costs.
on the Future of SBM
Since last year the managing board of SBM Mineral Processing GmbH has been supported by mechanical engineer Johannes Weiermair, 46, who is looking towards the future of SBM full of confidence: the extension of the markets, a very strong team, two brands under one roof and the expansion of the product range – in the fields concrete technology and mineral processing – are at the top of his agenda. “Owing to the integration of MFL mineral processing and the expansion of the concrete business unit, SBM has 130 employees again,” says Weiermair.
“We will strengthen our presence in the field Mineral Processing in Russia and Africa where SBM and MFL traditionally hold strong positions. In North Africa, MFL is mainly known thanks to the mobile sector, and SBM is known due to stationary plant engineering. We will continue this path and expand to the rest of the continent.” In Russia, we currently recognise increasing demands for mobile and semi-mobile crushing and screening plants. In the Americas, Weiermair sees a great demand especially in Canada and Latin America. “We feel very confident that our high-quality products perfectly meet customers’ requirements especially in Latin America’s small and medium-size mining companies. Our sturdy and durable mobile plants are provided with a changeover switch for generator or mains operation and are absolutely reliable even in extreme altitudes.” Last year, SBM has begun to build an effective distributor network in Latin America and is already presented at exhibitions. “Feedback is good; we feel confident about the future and are expanding our distributor network beyond Chile.”
