Rödl & Partner advises SMT Scharf on the acquisition of RDH Mining Equipment

Rödl & Partner advised the Hamm-based company SMT Scharf AG on the acquisition of the entire company shares of the Canadian mining specialist RDH Mining Equipment Ltd. based in Alban/Ontario. The purchasing price comprising cash and own shares amounted to about 5.2 million €. With regard to this acquisition, an international team of Rödl & Partner, specialized in this kind of transactions, provided SMT Scharf with comprehensive economic and legal advice. Rödl & Partner carried out Financial Due Diligence and accompanied SMT Scharf in their price and contract negotiations. The law offices Dale & Lessmann as well as Fritsch Laitar & Karac provided assistance and support in Canadian legal and tax issues, while the U.S. American Consultant Luis de Leon was involved in project initiation.
