Precision work in steel

Exacting demands on heavy-machine building and plant construction require first-class processing, a maximum of precision and – taking into account the required value creation in competitive markets – a comprehensive one-stop manufacture as far as possible. Jebens GmbH stands for precision work in steel with a manufacture of products in up to seven stages in a thickness range from 8 to 1400 mm, widths of up to 5000 mm and lengths of up to 20 000 mm (Fig. 1). With unit weights of up to 55 t and even up to 70 t with the aid of mobile tower cranes, the company has become a specialist for heavy weights.

The supplier of solutions for the heavy engineering, mobile crane and mining equipment industries combines all production steps under one roof, i.e. trade, flame cutting, welding, mechanical and thermal machining as well as coating. As a subsidiary of the Dillinger Hüttenwerke/GTS Group, Jebens always has access to the technological landmark steel know-how. At the same time the parent company is a stable supply basis for widths over 5000 mm and very high unit weights. Due to an optimized stock-keeping Jebens has available 30 000 t of hot-rolled plates and slabs with widths of up to 4000 mm and lengths of up to 15 000 mm as standard or special materials. The latest equipment, such as bevelling robots and CNC bevelling units, enable customized flame cuts with difficult weld preparations even with costly geometries (Fig. 2).
