New wear lining
for Metso Nordberg HP Series

Metso offers a new wear-resistant lining for Metso Nordberg HP series cone crushers. Experience shows that the crushed material causes increased wear due to the ejection parabola in the upper third of the lower crusher frame. At this point of the material discharge on all HP series models, a three-part plate is already welded on at the factory to protect the base frame. Due to the high load, especially when processing quartz-containing rock, this plate may have to be replaced annually or at even shorter intervals.

Metso has therefore developed a specific solution for HP series cone crushers. The new rubber-ceramic protective layer is made of Trellex Poly-Cer, an extremely abrasion-resistant material that can withstand high material flows and speeds and also reduces noise and vibration. Trellex Poly-Cer is already widely used in the medium-heavy rock and gravel industry, for example on feeders, transfer chutes and transfer points. When using a Trellex Poly-Cer protective lining, the service life of the crushing chamber lining is expected to be 2 to 3 times longer.
