New Managing Director Sandvik Mining Rock Technology

With effect from 1 June 2018, Friedrich Hirtler has been appointed Managing Director of Sandvik Mining and Construction Central Europe GmbH, having taken over this demanding management role on an acting basis back in December 2017 alongside his permanent position of Sales Manager Parts and Services. In his new position, he is simultaneously a member of the management team for Sales Area Northern Europe. From the head office in Essen, Hirtler reports directly to Ulf Johansson, Vice President Sales Area Northern Europe at Sandvik Mining Rock Technology. It is firmly believed that the right person to occupy the key position has been found in the person of Hirtler. Hirtler’s extensive experience having already worked for Sandvik for more than 40 years in various responsible positions, as well as the strong backing enjoyed by the new managing director as a recognised specialist with management qualities among his staff, colleagues and customers in the key industries of mining and commodities vouch for this.
